Hi guys! I was looking round the internet for any new spotlights and I came across this one. It is a great mod review by a nice guy called fusionfallwwww. Not only does he cover lots of the features, but HE'S POLISH! It's amazing and also slightly weird to think that somebody from the other side of the world to me likes the mod.
So, here it is! (If, you're not Polish, this may bit a bit confusing)

Graveyard Biome Pictures

Our coder TechGuy543 has released yet another preview of the Undead+ mod's upcoming features, this time the highly anticipated Graveyard Biome. As you can see, the structures are not yet implemented but the grass and water is very dark. Mobs also no longer burn in the day there and the Ghoul Mob now has a place to spawn. The new 0.4 update should be out in a few days.

Each mob also now has it's very own preview banner. You can view them here: http://imgur.com/a/FcRwY

New Ritual Table GUI Preview

Our coder, Techguy543 has been working hard on the new Ritual Table for the mod. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a block crafted using a Necronomicon (dropped by a Necromancer) and it is used to summon tamed Undead+ mobs that will fight off hostile mobs for you. When the table is done, it will have a Widower option and maybe a floating Necronomicon and it. :)

New Undead+ Team Member: lockNload!

Wow! It has been a long while since Undead+ was first started. It started off with just one person with a bright idea and now, we welcome yet another member to the team: the fantastic lockNload! He has over two years experience in java and is very skilled with it. He was employed by TechGuy543 to program the auto-installer and he also may be writing little bits of the mod code every now and then. So, here is a picture of the installer that he has put so much effort into so far:

As you can see, IT'S AMAZING! So a big thanks to him for making it. WE ALL LOVE YA' DUDE!

New Thinker AI Preview

On 11/03/2012, TechGuy543 posted a great new video showing off the Thinker's new AI, and wow does it look scary! It also features the new sounds I made for it.

Changing the subject, we welcome lockNload to the Undead+ Mod Team. He is in charge of coding the automated installer.

RandumbDude's Amazing Speech!

Thanks for all of the positive feedback everyone!

Tomorrow will be the exactly 3 months since we started the coding. So much work and such a great mod gone started from nothing in only a short amount of time!

I would like specially to thank all of the members of the team, TechGuy543, Mr.Compost, TehGrizzleyBear, DJKnarnia, ClingCreeper, and everyone else who has contributed to this mod! Even those of you who give feedback help make this mod better, and let us know that people enjoy it!

With v.03 already at the amount of DLs v.02 was at, I just know that once we get the bugs worked out, and add in the rest of the content, this will be an amazing mod! Although, it already is Posted Image.

The idea of this just started as a mod to add a few new types of zombies. But with support and ideas from people, this was turned into the mod it is today! So for any of you who have a good mod idea, but don't know how to get started, don't give up!

Interview with RandumbDude

On the 6th of February, I (MrCompost) had the privilege of interviewing Undead+'s creator: RandumbDude. I asked him five questions and he gave me his answers. Here is how it all went:

What inspired you to make the Undead+ mod?

Well, my first idea for a new Minecraft mob came from one of my old skins, which was a zombie in a suit with sunglasses. When my friend in MP asked why I wasn't burning in the daytime, i pointed out the sunglasses, and then thought it would be cool if there was a mob like that. After a few more ideas came to mind, i started a post under request/ideas for mods. With some support from the forums, it eventually grew into what it is today. A lot of inspiration came from existing zombie games, a lot of the ideas are original, and some great ideas have come from other users.

Did you ever think it would be as popular as it is today?

Well, I'm not sure it is quite "popular" yet, but considering that out first version only included 4 mobs and had 50 downloads with lots of great feedback, no, I did not think it would be this popular. In fact, for the first couple days i got barely any feedback and could not find a coder. I almost gave up.

You're mod has given you quite a respectable fan-base. How does this make you feel?

We have been getting a lot of great ideas and support from fans of this mod, and haven't really received any negative responses. Many users even help to make some textures, suggest ideas, and

test the versions for any bugs, so i am very grateful our fans are so active on our forum.

The 0.2 update added almost all of the planned mobs. Does this mean that we can look forward to the new items and structures in the next release?

We have decided to separate how we work into the versions. First, we are focusing on most of the mobs, then fixing the mobs and items, and then adding structures. v.02 focused on most of the mobs and bugs, meaning that v.03 should have lots of bug fixes ( i think the spawn rates are a little high ) and the rest of the mobs. This version may also include the Grave biome. Then v.04 Should include Graveyards, Infected Villages, and Crypts.

Finally, what do you think the future holds for Undead+?

There's plenty to look forward to in Undead+. My goal is to add lots of content, without adding lots of useless things, I've rejected many of my own ideas because they would not have a use. In the future you can look forward to things such as infected jaguars roaming the jungle, better uses for rotten flesh, pyramids in the desert that lead to underground catacombs, and possibly even a new game mode or two. I can't say too much for now because we are still trying to figure out what we can code and what we can't, But there is certainly more to come.

Thanks, RandumbDude!

Undead+ 0.2 Release for Minecraft 1.1

Undead+ 0.2 is finally out and it is the biggest update yet; it now includes twenty different mobs, that's fifteen more than before! It also includes the mysterious Necronomicon. It doesn't have a use yet, but it will in the next update.

-v.02 a Major Update. Major Bug Fixes.
-Includes: Inlcudes These Mobs and Necronomicon.
-Spawn rates are slightly high.
Please Report Any Bugs Here.

Download it now!

The current version of Undead+ is available for free download from the Minecraft forums only for Minecraft 1.1 here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/915339-11-wip-undead/
The mod also requires Risugami's ModLoader for Minecraft 1.1, which you can download here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v11-risugamis-mods-everything-updated/

Installation

1. If you have not already done so, download software that opens zip files such as 7Zip or preferably, WinRar.
3. Download Undead+ and Modloader from the links above.
2. Click start, then type %appdata%. Open the folder called Roaming.
3. Locate the .minecraft folder in roaming, and go into bin. Back up the minecraft.jar file so that you can put it back into the folder if the installation is not successful.
4. Open the minecraft.jar file with software that opens zip files.
5. Drag the contents of the ModLoader file in minecraft.jar and delete META INF. Then close everthing up and then run Minecraft. If it works, great! If it doesn't, see Errors.
6. There are two ways of installing the mod. Method 1, the fast way or Method 2, the slightly longer way. I recommend using Method 2 because it is easier to fix Minecraft if anything went wrong.

Method 1

1. Open up minecraft.jar and the folder in Undead+.
2. Drag the contents from the folder in Undead+ into minecraft.jar.
3. Close everything off and run Minecraft. If it doesn't work, see Errors.
3. Done!

Method 2

1. Open up the .minecraft folder and you will see a folder called mods. Open it up.
2. Drag the folder in Undead+ into the mods folder
3. Close everything off, run Minecraft and fight off the Zombie hordes! if it doesn't work, see Errors.

Errors

If you get a black screen or an error message when you try to launch Minecraft, you have done something wrong. You may have placed the mod files in the wrong place or the mod may not be compatible with your version of Minecraft.
If your Minecraft crashed after you installed ModLoader, take the following steps:
1. Locate minecraft.jar
2. Delete it and then drag in the minecraft.jar you backed up. If you did not back up your minecraft.jar, you will have to re-install Minecraft. Sorry, but I did warn you!
3. Done!
If your minecraft crashed after installing Undead+ using Method 1, follow the steps above.
If your MInecraft crashed after installing Undead+ using Method 2, take the following steps:
1. Locate the .minecraft folder and then open the mods folder.
2. Delete the mod zip archive file with Undead+ in it.
3. Done!
